The major research activities of the Microelectronics and Telecommunications Laboratory are focused the following research areas:

  • Electrical Characterization (AC, DC) of Microelectronic Devices, Electronic properties of semiconductor devices, Reliability of Microelectronic Devices, Mixed-signal electronics and communication circuits, RF transistor design
  • Digital Communications, Radio-frequency and high-frequency wireless system design, Wireless transceiver design, Wireless, Mobile Communications, Satellite Communications, WLAN and LTE Design and Applications
  • Embedded Telecommunications systems design, Software Radio Systems and Digital Signal Processing Techniques, DSP and FPGA based Wireless and Wireline Communication systems, Adaptive (smart) antennas for wireless networks, array antenna beamforming
  • Electromagnetic Compatibility, Signal Covering Measurements, Open area test site and in site Field Measurements, Signal Propagation and
  • Location Based Services (LBS) and Geographic Information System (GIS) Systems and Applications

The research activity in the adove mentioned scientific areas extends from devices to subsystems, systems and applications.
